(Priority Certificates)

At selected international trade fairs such as EuroBLECH 2010, Priority Certificates can be issued. For products displayed at the event, exhibitors can apply during the show for a Priority Certificate for registered designs, utility models and trademarks. The exhibitor then has the opportunity to apply for certain Intellectual Property Rights within 6 months after the EuroBLECH show.

The issue date of the Priority Certificate will be accepted as the application date by the German Patent and Trademark Office, thus ensuring a time lead over counterfeiters.

Please note that in Germany, Priority Certificates do not apply to patent applications.
