Statistics 2006
Overview
The economic situation of the sheet metal industry was much more positive for EuroBLECH 2006 than it was two years before. The third consecutive year of growth for German machine tool manufacturers, a general increase in investment and a continuously growing demand from global markets led to lively trading activity throughout the exhibition and to very positive results.
Regarding figures and exhibition space, EuroBLECH 2006 was the biggest show ever in its long history, and it was the most international exhibition in this series ever. Overall, the results were even more successful than at previous events. The increase in visitors of 6% was entirely due to visitors coming from outside Germany. The exhibitors’ primary target markets were well represented at the show: the EU, followed by the remaining eastern and western European countries, Asia and North America.
The proportion of visitors directly involved in decision-making has grown by 20%. 43,500 visitors had decisive or co-decisive decision-making capacity. Almost half of the visitors came with concrete investment plans. They primarily looked for personal advice and machine demonstrations at the stands and their expectations were exceeded. Exhibitors too were extremely satisfied with the outcome of the exhibition. Almost three quarters of them are planning to exhibit again at EuroBLECH 2008, which will take place from 21 to 25 October 2008.
