If you need to obtain a visa, please enquire at the respective mission well in advance of your departure date for specific visa requirements (documents to submit, deadlines etc.):
Submit your visa application, together with all necessary documents, in person at the German mission responsible for your place of residence. Please note that all required documents must be submitted at the time you request your visa.
The German Foreign Office has informed the German Embassy and Consulate Visa Sections all over the world that, effective 24 July 2013, an official invitation letter from the trade fair organiser is no longer required when applying for a trade fair visa. Furthermore, foreign exhibitors at German trade fairs who present an official exhibitor pass are exempt from the visa fee.
Should an official invitation letter still be required, please contact the Foreign Representatives of Deutsche Messe responsible for your place of residence.
A list of countries not covered by a representative is available for download:
If there is no representative responsible for your country, please print out the invitation form and send it in good time (at least 6-8 weeks before arrival) by email to email@example.com.
