The six brand marks of the Berger Gruppe produce high quality machines for machining and finishing of steel strips and parts such as knives, cutlery, tools, cast and forged parts.
Hereby different production methods such as grinding, polishing, profiling and chamfering are applied. Also offered are robotic systems for automation and process integration.
The German company offers trend-setting innovations in the fields of robotics and CNC machines for grinding and polishing tools, as well as state-of-the-art technology for strip edge trimming by metal-cutting and surface finishing.
As systems partner of ABB and KUKA, the Berger Gruppe has built more than 600 robotic applications up to now.
At Hannover Messe this year, the group won the Robotics Award with a robotic line including 33 interacting robots for the machining of hollowware.
Grinding and polishing machines for strips and pieces are an essential part of the product range of the Berger Gruppe.
The company produces about 250 mostly CNC controlled machine types for grinding, polishing, deburring, sharpening, glazing, edging or profile generating.
Furthermore, all kind of peripheral equipment is supplied such as magazine systems, measuring technique or coiling and spooling systems.
Robotic cells are another core product of the product range. Until today, the Berger Gruppe has been implementing more than 600 robotic applications integrating about 40 robots each year. The cells can be composed of different working stations such as grinding, deburring and polishing stations, sharpening and milling machines as well as magazine systems and measuring technique.
In that respect, the Berger Gruppe consequently implements the central idea of industry 4.0. Linked control technology and intelligent spare part supply are employed bringing ever closer the idea of self-organized production.
